Army Builder file in the works

One of the guys that was involved in playtesting HAVOC has been kind enough to ‘volunteer’ to create a file for Army Builder. We hope to have a Beta version available early next week that will contain all the Core units and options from The One List. The Named upgrades will take a little while longer, as we have to learn more about the architecture of the program.

    • The file will be uploaded this week (99% sure). I’ll announce it here on the blog when it’s official.

Glad that you are enjoying the game. I have lots of material for expanding and supplementing the game, and love to hear what players want to see more of.

Any ‘special request’ as far as spells are concerned?
      Here’s your chance…

  2. Good to hear the upload is near.
I am using LOTR and Mage Knight Figures mostly for the game. So my main interest would be in different kind and styles of maigc. Some nature amgic for the wood elf, some brutal rituals for the orcs and of necromancy for the undeads. The difference in style could be something like naturalist must be in wood terrain to cast spells and othertimes in touch with water or even fire features. Meanwhile the orc shamans must perhaps sacrifice something of there liveforce or of that from the bystanding orcs. Necros must kill units from the other player to cast spell. I hope the idea get clear.

    • Your ideas are clear- no need to worry! You definitely have put some thought into this and have some creative concepts.

As an aside, the gaming store that I frequent locally is going to be running a ‘HAVOC in Middle Earth’ League (with a little help). Maybe I can have one of the guys post some of the stuff that they are doing for that on a Google Group so people can have free access to the material and format. Hmmm…

  3. I sent an e-mail to Lone Wolf Development requesting an author account so I can upload the army builder files.

They are “beta” as in all the normal units are there, just not any of the named.

    I am working on that.

    • Which version of Army Builder are you using? I think the files were created for AB3. So, if you are using AB2, then I don’t think the files are backward compatible.

Make sure that you have the most recent version & update.

In the meantime, I’ll check with the guy managing the files to see if he can spot any issues (and fix if needed).
